Duane E. Rognli

Duane E. Rognli, age 64 of Silver Lake, MN passed away at the Glencoe Hospital, Glencoe, MN on December 12, 2016.  Memorial service on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 12:00 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Silver Lake, MN.  Visitation on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM at Maresh Funeral Home, Silver Lake.  Further visitation on Thursday from 8:30 to time of service at the funeral home.  Interment Holy Family Cemetery, Silver Lake, MN.

Duane was born on December 27, 1951 in Moorhead, MN to Erling and Iris (Bowers) Rognli.  He graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1970.  He worked for Lester’s Builders and Orin Thompson in construction. Duane married Margaret Novak on August 2, 1975 at St. Joseph’s Church.   Duane worked at 3M for 30 years as a mechanic, retiring in February of 2012.  Duane enjoyed watching sports, spending time with family and friends at the lake.  He and Marge enjoyed traveling together throughout the United States.

Preceded in death by his father, Erling in 2012.

Survived by his wife, Marge Rognli; mother, Iris Rognli;  children, Brian (friend, Maureen Flynn) Rognli, Amanda (friend, Todd Orduno) Rognli, Angie (DJ) Karnik; grandhchilden, Lucas Rognli, Cassie Zumhofe, Hannah Stuewe, Brooke Karnik, Kellen Zumhofe, Payton Zumhofe; brother, Roger (Jacquie)Rognli; sisters, Ann (Jim) Andre and Judy (Mike Hoyt) Rognli.

Maresh Funeral Home served the family.
