Dorothy Mary (paul) Micka

Dorothy Mary Micka, age 91, formerly of Silver Lake and Plymouth, passed away on Thursday, February 8th, 2024 at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe. She was born on November 30, 1932 in Winsted the daughter of John & Alvina (Sterner) Paul. On November 22, 1952, Dorothy M. Paul and David F. Micka were joined in holy marriage at Czech Brethren Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with three children. David Micka preceded his wife in death on December 24, 2015. Dorothy was a faithful member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake. She was a former farm wife until they moved to the Twin Cities. Dorothy was formerly employed at 3M in Hutchinson. She also worked at Green Giant, Joel Company, Jewelmont and at Prudential. While a resident of GlenFields, Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music and always helped folding towels. Survived by her loving children: Randy (Verna) Bourassa-Micka, Nancy Micka (Robert) Rantanen and Joan Micka (Mario) Duenas; grandchildren: Isaiah Micka, David (Heidi) Hall Rantanen, Andrew (Lindsay) Newcomb Rantanen, Elisabeth and Andrea Carrier ; a step grandson: Tanner Bourassa; great grandchildren: Rosemarie, River, Clementine and Bowie Rantanen; a niece: Shirley Luhman and a nephews DuWayne Paul and Curt Micka; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gene, Gilbert and Harold Paul and by a sister Clara Pawelk. Funeral Services for Dorothy Micka will be held on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake. Pastor Laura Messer will officiate. Interment will follow at The Presbyterian Cemetery in Silver Lake. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21st AT THE CHURCH one hour prior to services.
