Verna Lorraine Pilarski, age 95 of Silver Lake, MN passed away at Cedar Crest of Silver Lake on October 14, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Silver Lake with visitation from 9-11 AM also at the church on Tuesday. Interment St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Verna was born on April 4, 1922 to Alfred and Mabel (Bodien) Brask in Cokato, MN. She was very active in Holy Family Catholic church including the CCW. She was a Mom to many when she lived on the farm. Verna was a great seamstress to the communities of Winsted and Silver Lake where she sewed many wedding party dresses. She was a woman who accepted everyone without judgment. She also was a wonderful cook and baker.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stanley, brothers, Gordon and Ervin and sister, Dorothy.
She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Carl) Mead; grandson, Tony Poshek; sisters, Beverly (Emmett) Oien, Helen (Donald) Barns, Virginia (Duncan) McTavish and Natalie Holt.
