Agnes Helen Yurek, age 80, of Silver Lake passed away on Monday, December 7th, 2015 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
She was born on January 26, 1935 in Winsted the daughter of Al & Louise (Hemerick) Remer.
On August 19, 1952, Agnes H. Remer and Raymond C. Yurek were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with eight children.
She enjoyed antiques, garage sales and all kinds of music. Christmas was her favorite time of the year!
Agnes was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Sivler Lake. She also belonged to the Rosary Society and CCW.
Survived by her seven children: Patty (Brad) Brede of Miltona, Douglas (Connie) Yurek , Randy Yurek, Vicki Yurek, and Steve (Sue) Yurek all of Silver Lake, Nancy (Rickki) Agimudie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Robert (Margie) Yurek of Dayton; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; a brother: Wally Remer of Waverly; sisters: Margie Huhn of Litchfield, Gertie Lyrek of Montrose, Roseann (John) Moore of Edina and Eileen Berrum of Livingston, Montana; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Raymond C. Yurek on March 16, 2013, an infant son Timothy, her parents, two brothers and by three sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Agnes H. Yurek will be held on Saturday, December 12th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Paul Schumacher will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
Alice Nowak will be the organist for the Mass. Special music will be by Chuck Thiel.
Readers will be Nicole Nickles and Noah Yurek.
Gift Bearer will be Agnes’ granddaughters.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 11th from 4-8 P.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A combined CCW and Rosary Society Rosary will be recited at 5:00 P.M. A Prayer service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Saturday morning, December 12th from 8:30-9:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
Casket Bearers will be Jacob Yurek, Matthew Yurek, Jordan Agimudie, Noah Yurek, Ken Nickles and Jason Brede.
