Alan Piehl Obituary

Alan John Piehl, age 61 of Silver Lake passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on April 6, 1959 in Glencoe the son of Gerald D. & Bernice M. (Bandas) Piehl.

Alan graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1977. He later attended college at The University of Minnesota-Waseca where he was on both the wrestling and football teams.

For the past forty years, Alan was employed as an Ag-mechanic.

He was a collector of old cars. Alan also enjoyed camping in the Silver Lake area with friends.

Alan belonged to Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.

Survived by his parents: Gerald & Bernice Piehl of Hutchinson; a brother: Dean (Ardyce) Piehl of Poynette, Wisconsin; a nephew: Drew Piehl; a niece: Emily (Ed) Portillo; three aunts, and numerous cousins further survive.

Preceded in death by his grandparents: Erbin & Marie Piehl and John & Bessie Bandas.

A Private graveside service for Alan Piehl was held on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020 in Stewart, Minnesota. Father Tony Stubeda officiated.
