Albin Cyril Lewandowski, age 87, of Silver Lake passed away on November 1, 2013 at Prairie Senior Cottages of Hutchinson, MN.
Albin was born on April 18, 1926 in McLeod County, MN to Frank & Josephine (Pawlak) Lewandowski. On October 4, 1944 Albin enlisted in the US Army & served in Korea in the Pacific. On October 14, 1950, Leona M. Fiecke and Albin C. Lewandowski were joined in holy marriage in Riverside, California & they shared 61 years of marriage. He farmed for over 20 years & also worked for Millerbrend Mfg. in Winsted, MN during that time. He retired from Millerbrend Mfg.
He enjoyed camping, threshing bees, antique tractor shows & he loved attending parades.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Leona, infant son: James Andrew Lewandowski in 1968 & son: Dale Edward Lewandowski in 1971 & one sister, Irene Herbert.
He is survived by his children: Jane Hawes of Cokato & loving companion Randy Youngkrantz, Dean Lewandowski (companion Vicki) of Princeton , Jeanie (Patrick) Ebert of Hutchinson, David (Roxi) Lewandowski & Donna (James) Richards all of Silver Lake; grandchildren: Daniel & Eric (Angela) Hawes, Kristin (Ryan) Allen & Lisa (Tim) Weseloh, James (Jessica) Lewandowski, Jessie Lewandowski, Mathew Richards, Michael Richards & Joseph Richards; great grandchildren: Blake, Allie, Austin, Wyatte, Izzabella, Mason, Brady, Hadley, Gavin, Audrey & Laynee; sister, Bernice Strauss of Winsted; brothers, Benny (Jean) Lewandowski of Lester Prairie & Larry (Della) Lewandowski of Glencoe.
Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Silver Lake, MN. Visitation on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at Maresh Funeral Home, Silver Lake, MN. Further visitation at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to Mass. Interment Holy Family Cemetery, Silver Lake, MN.
