Arnold Eugene Quale

Arnold Eugene Quale, age 86, of Brownton passed away on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

 He was born on April 20, 1932 in Carlyle, Montana the son of Clifford & Dolores (Bair) Quale.

Arnold honorably served his country in The U.S Air Force.

On December 27, 1964, Arnold Quale and Elaine Grosz were joined in marriage in Turtle Lake, North Dakota.  God blessed their marriage with three children.

Arnold retired from the USDA after a long enjoyable career as a Soil Conservationist. Although he retired from full time employment, he never stopped contributing to his community. He enjoyed driving school bus in Dickinson, ND, Bemidji and Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Arnold was a true family man and his wife, children and grandchildren were the center of his everyday life.  He also cared deeply for his brothers and sisters. He was open and accepting of everyone and easily made friends everywhere he went. A good conversation or a lively game of cards made him so happy.   He was proud of keeping his house and yard looking great and truly loved a good garden.  He was a man of faith and giving back to his community was very important. Volunteering for Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Helena, MT, participating in Kiwanis, or giving his time to other charity opportunities gave him joy.  His warm spirit will be greatly missed!

Survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Elaine; children: Ranita Quale (Gregg Hodgson), Michelle Quale (Gregg Nistler) and Treisha Quale (Greg Batcher); five grandchildren: Zachary Nistler, Nash Nistler and Abbie Nistler, Jordan Quale and Maxwell Batcher; and goddaughter: Alissha Mantell (granddaughter by heart); brothers: David, Norman, Kenneth and Clifford Quale Jr.; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lila and Edna and by brothers Donald, Irvin and Conrad.

A Memorial service for Arnold Quale will be held on Monday, November 5th, 2018 at 6:30 P.M. at the Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake MN.  Pastor Laura Aase will officiate.

Interment with military rites  Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
