Clifford Alois Ruzicka Jr., age 88, of rural Winsted passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Cedar Crest Estates Senior Living in Silver Lake.
He was born on May 23, 1936 in Waverly the son of Clifford J. & Leona C. (Millerbernd) Ruzicka.
Clifford graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1954.
On November 24, 1956, Clifford A. Ruzicka Jr. and Marie F. Kulinski were joined in holy marriage at St. George Catholic Church in Glencoe, MN. God blessed their marriage with six children.
As a young man, Cliff worked as a bookkeeper at Swanburg & Scheefe and at Minneapolis Moline. He also did electrical work for Keating Hardware. Clifford engaged in farming in Winsted Township, McLeod County for many years.
He enjoyed fixing things, camping, farm shows and visiting with friends.
Clifford belonged to Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.Survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years: Marie F. Ruzicka; children: Douglas (Monica) Ruzicka of Montrose, Deb (Frank) Habisch of Winsted, Dale (Melody) Ruzicka of Hermosa, S.D., Daniel (Connie) Ruzicka of Lester Prairie and Donna (Jesse) Brazee of Hutchinson; a daughter-in-law: Jackie Ruzicka of Mayer; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; sisters: Elaine Griffith of Homeland, California and Carol Cuhel of Winsted; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents Clifford Ruzicka on February 15, 2003, Leona Ruzicka on October 26, 2004, a brother Ralph R. Ruzicka on December 23, 2003 and by a son Dean Alan Ruzicka on November 9, 2022.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Clifford Ruzicka Jr. will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Robert J. Mraz will be the Celebrant.
Alice Nowak will be the organist for the Mass and Evie Penas the cantor.
Interment will follow at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4-8 P.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A Prayer service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26th at the funeral home from 12 Noon until 1:30 P.M.
Casket Bearers will be Jeremy Ruzicka, Jordan Ruzicka, Trace Ruzicka, Dylan Ruzicka, Blake Habisch and Rick Heimerl.
Memorials are preferred to Alzheimer’s Research.
