David Joseph Mallak, age 60, of rural Glencoe passed away on Saturday, June 18th, 2016 at the Hutchinson hospital.

He was born in Hutchinson on January 19th, 1956 the son of Leo J. & Marietta J. (Kieser) Mallak.

On May 18, 1985, David J. Mallak and Christine M. Anderson were joined in holy marriage in Mankato, Minnesota.  God blessed their marriage with two children, Michael and Melissa.

David was engaged in farming since 1983 and lived in Rich Valley Township, McLeod County since 1996.   He also worked for the Ford Motor Company for more than twenty years.

He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and playing on the local Thursday Nite Pool League for many years.

David is survived by his wife: Chris; three children: Michael (Natalie), Melissa and Dawn; his siblings: Gary (Pam) Mallak, Ron (Jeanette) Mallak, Kathy (Tom) Urban, Duane (Cheryl) Mallak and Carolyn (Jack) Getz; brother-in-law Gary Hennessey; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister: Susan Hennessey.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd from 4-8 P.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.

A Prayer Service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening, June 22nd.   Father Paul Schumacher will officiate.  Further visitation will be held on Thursday morning, June 23rd from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Private Interment will follow Thursday morning, June 23rd at St. Adalbert Cemetery.

Casket Bearers will be Kirk Toltzman, Mike Cacka, Dan Gesinger, Tom Seiberlich, Travis Mallak, Colin McDougal.
