Dolores C. Chrast, age 86, of Silver Lake passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
She was born on November 20, 1928 in McLeod County the daughter of Louis & Cecilia (Wozniak) Kaczmarek.
On November 22, 1949, Dolores C. Kaczmarek and Stanley C. Chrast were joined in holy marriage. God blessed their marriage with five children.
Dolores was formerly employed for ten years at The Gallery Restaurant in Silver Lake and for twenty-five years at Tonka Toys in Mound.
She enjoyed The Minnesota Twins, crocheting, bingo, going to the casino, playing 500, Buck Euchre and traveling.
She was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. She also belonged to the Silver Lake American Legion Auxiliary.
Survived by children: Charlotte (Gary) Gatz of Lester Prairie, Lorelei Witte of Hutchinson, Tom (Joanne) Chrast of Biscay and Randy (Cindy) Chrast of Cokato; a daughter-in-law: Roxie Chrast of Silver Lake; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; brothers: Bernie (Laura) Kaczmarek of Silver Lake, Gerald (Marie) Kaczmarek of Hutchinson and Donald (Brenda) Kaczmarek of Ohio; a sister-in-law: Lillian Novak of Hutchinson; brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Zickmond & Theresa Chrast of Silver Lake; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Stan, a son Loren, her parents, a sister Dorothy Ruzicka, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Emil & Donna Chrast, Dominic Novak, Ralph & Clara Chrast, Frank Chrast, Louis & Helen Chrast.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dolores Chrast will be held on Friday, May 8th at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Paul Schumacher will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Alice Nowak will be the organist for the Mass.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7th from 4:30-8:00 P.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A C.C.W. Rosary will be recited at 5:00 P.M. and a Prayer service will be held at 6:00 P.M.
Further visitation will be held on Friday morning, May 8th from 9-10 A.M. at the funeral home.
Casket Bearers will be Jeff Chrast, Jason Chrast, Skylar Posusta Chrast, Michael Posusta Chrast, Justin Witte and Jarred Witte.
