Dorothy C. Kaczmarek, age 77, of Litchfield passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on December 25, 1937 in Gary, South Dakota the daughter of Arnold & Elinor (Stone) Moeller.
Dorothy was baptized and confirmed at a Lutheran Church in Gary, South Dakota.
She was married to Darrell Sasse and had three children: Robin, Dawn and Alan.
On May 15, 1990, Dorothy was later joined in marriage to Leonard Kaczmarek in Gary, South Dakota.
She was formerly employed as an assistant manager of a Group Home for Lutheran Social Services.
Dorothy attended St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
Survived by husband: Leonard A. Kaczmarek; children: Robin (Dennis) Bondhus of Monticello, Dawn Sasse of Hutchinson and Alan (Kristin) Sasse of Burnsville; twelve grandchildren: Amber, Mitchell, Carsten, Brandon, Nikiesha, Evan, Ryan, Zachary, Faith, Alexander, Lisa, & Galadriel; and two great grandchildren: Collin & Camden; two sisters and three brothers: Betty (Stan) Bergeson of Madison, Minnesota, Bernice (Tony) Schlehuber of Fort Collins, Colorado, Jack (Marie) Moeller of Lancaster, PA, Ed (Dianna) Moeller of Rosemount and Jim (Karyl) Moeller of Gary, South Dakota; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents and by a nephew: Michael Moeller.
Funeral services for Dorothy Kaczmarek will be held on Friday, February 6th, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Reverend Craig Engel will officiate. Marion Rick will be the organist for the funeral service.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 6th at the church from 12 Noon until time of services.
Casket Bearers will be Brandon, Zachary & Alexander Bondhus, Carsten Sasse, Mitchell Delosoul and Carl Packa.
