Edna Irene Drahos, age 94, of Moorhead, MN passed away on May 18, 2014.
Edna Irene Schumacher Drahos was born on July 28, 1919 in Renville County, Minnesota to Otto and Lulu Schumacher. She spent her childhood in Wisconsin, Fairfax, Minnesota and New Ulm, Minnesota. After high school she took practical nursing training at Vocation Hospital in Minneapolis and worked at Hutchinson Community Hospital. She also worked at Dr. May’s Dental Office for many years.
She married Clyde Vernon Drahos on October 17, 1944. They were married over 60 years. Edna and Clyde were long time members of Vineyard Methodist Church in Hutchinson. After Clyde died in 2005, Edna moved to Moorhead, Minnesota to live near family. She entered Eventide Lutheran Nursing Home in July 2013.
She is survived by her son Carl (Rosy) Drahos, Bemidji, Minnesota and daughter Maggie (Roger) Jorgenson, Fargo, North Dakota. She is survived by grandchildren Mike Drahos, Mark Drahos, Matthew Drahos, Adam Drahos, Lisa Jorgenson, Jennie Jorgenson and Thomas Jorgenson. She had one great grandson Bradley Drahos.
She was preceded in death by her son David Drahos.
Private family services will be held.
Maresh Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangments.
