Eugene Henry Wosmek, age 70, of Hutchinson passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Harmony River in Hutchinson.

 

He was born on December 13, 1943 in Glencoe the son of Henry & Alice (Shimanski) Wosmek.

 

Eugene lived in Fairbault, Willmar, Winsted and Dassel.  He most recently resided at Aveyron Homes in Hutchinson.

 

He was very fond of horses, enjoyed cowboy movies, receiving mail and home cookies.

 

Eugene is survived by a brother: Donald (Christy) Wosmek of Scottsdale, Arizona; sisters: Phyllis Sopkowiak and her husband Larry Ostendorf of Glencoe and Lorraine Quast of Winsted; further survived by aunt: Eunice Wosmek, uncles: Sam Shimanski; nieces, nephews, cousins and Shelia Quast, caregiver for many years, also, caregivers and friends of Aveyron Homes in Hutchinson.

 

Preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Alice Wosmek and by two brothers-in-law: Donald Sopkowiak and Raphael Quast.

 

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 16th, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.  Father Tony Stubeda and Father Patrick Okonkwo will be the Celebrants.  Alice Nowak will be the organist for the Mass.

 

A time of gathering will be held on Friday, May 16th one hour prior to Mass.

 

Interment Holy Family Cemetery.

Urn Bearer will be Jerome Sopkowiak.
