Henry Paul Pawlicki

May 29, 1926 ~ September 6, 2016 (age 90) 90 Years Old

Henry “Hank” Paul Pawlicki, age 90, of Silver Lake passed away on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016 at Cedar Crest Estates.

He was born on May 29, 1926 in Hale Township, McLeod County the son of Peter and Martha (Pawlak) Pawlicki.

Henry served his Country in the United States Army serving during the Korean War. 

After his return from the service, he returned to farming. Hank had a stroke in 1993 .  With a lot of  rehabilitation, he was released from the hospital and lived in St Marys in Winsted, Orchard Estates in Glencoe , Lakeside apartments and finally Cedarcrest Estates in Silver Lake.  He made many friends along the way.  He will be remembered as a favorite uncle in the family.

 

He engaged in farming and hauled silage for many years.  Hank also was formerly employed at Green Giant as a foreman. 

Hank enjoyed gardening, fishing and was a happy person.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake and belonged to Silver Lake American Legion Post #141.

He is survived by a brother in law: Robert Schurmann of New Germany; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters Veronica Schurmann and Dolores Schultz.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Henry “Hank” Pawlicki will be held on Friday, September 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.  Interment with military rites will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.  Father Paul Schumacher will be the Celebrant for the mass.  Reader for the mass will be Amy Kylochko.  Alice Nowak will be the organist.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8th from 4-7 P.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.  A Rosary will be held at 5:30 P.M. followed by a Prayer Service held at 6:00 P.M.  Further visitation will be held on Friday morning, September 9th from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.

Casket Bearers will be: Paul Schultz, Russel Schurmann, Randy Schurmann, Mark Schurmann, Dean Schurmann and Alan Mickolichek.
