Leslie George Dolezal, age 88, of N. Minneapolis and formerly of Silver Lake passed away on Friday, October 28th, 2016 at The Golden Living Center in Hopkins.
He was born on July 2, 1928 in Silver Lake the son of John J. & Sophie C. (Schultz) Dolezal.
Leslie honorably served his Country in The United States Army serving during World War II.
He was formerly employed at Millerbernd Manufacturing in Winsted for over 25 years.
On November 13, 1971, Leslie G. Dolezal was joined in holy marriage to Marcella Filipek.
He enjoyed being in his garage fixing things and was always tinkering with something! He was the ultimate handyman!
Leslie was in a bowling league for twenty years and belonged to The Knights of Columbus Mother Cabrini Council #1841.
Survived by his wife: Marcella Dolezal of N. Minneapolis; Stepson: Jeff Filipek of Chaska; step grandchildren: Garrett Filipek, Ryan Filipek and Taylor Filipek; a sister: Jane (Gerry) Speckel of Coon Rapids; brothers: Franklin (Marilyn) Dolezal of Zimmerman and Richard (Nancy) Dolezal of Lester Prairie; sisters-in law: Gracie Dolezal of Montgomery, Janet Dolezal and Tina Dolezal both of Hutchinson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Ernest, a sister Lucille Knoll and by brothers Edwin, John Jr., Willard “Willie” and Donald Dolezal.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Leslie Dolezal will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Father Paul Schumacher will be the Celebrant.
Alice Nowak will be the organist for the Mass.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3rd one hour prior to Mass at the church.

and Tim Speckel.
