Marcella Mary Dolezal, age 98 passed away on March 5, 2025 at Bethesda Grand in Willmar, MN. Born Marcella Mary Trnka on Aug. 11, 1926 in New Prague, MN. She was the first person in her family to graduate from high school.

Marcy married Stanley Filipek, from Montgomery, MN in 1944. They moved to the northside of Minneapolis and had one son, Jeffrey Filipek born in 1960. Stanley passed away in 1965 and she later married Leslie Dolezal in 1972. They were married 44 years until his passing in 2016.

Marcy was the proverbial church lady at St. Phillips in north Minneapolis. She loved watching the Vikings, feeding people who visited and babysitting her grand-dog Gus. She worked at Honeywell for over 35 years.

Marcy was most proud of her grandchildren and got to spend time with her four great-grandchildren these last 5 years.

Preceding her is husbands Stanley and Leslie, three brothers- Ben, George, Joseph and mother Josephine Trnka. Her father passed away when she was three.

She is survived by her son Jeffrey (Cindy) Filipek of Spicer, MN. Grandchildren Garrett (Lindsay) Filipek & great-grandson Jai of New Effington, SD, Ryan (Jordan) Filipek & great-grandchildren Lennix, Baylor & Denver of Farmington, MN, Taylor (Kayla) Filipek of West Fargo, ND.

She will be laid to rest in a family ceremony on April 21 in Silver Lake, MN.
