Marilyn Caroline (Koestler) Jones-Becker

 Marilyn Caroline Jones-Becker, age 83, of Silver Lake passed away Sunday, April 12th, 2026. She was born on January 6, 1943 in Jo Daviess Township, Faribault County, Minnesota the daughter of Ewald J. and Esther (Ehrich) Koestler. Marilyn was joined in holy marriage to George R. Jones on July 21, 1961. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2009. Later, she married Dennis A. Becker on December 29, 2012. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2019. Marilyn was formerly employed in the Gaylord-Arlington area for more than thirty years as an UPS driver. She was an antique dealer having her own shop in Hutchinson. It was known as Cupola Antiques. Marilyn loved her flowers! She formerly belonged to the Red Hat Society. Survived by loving sons: George (Laura) Jones of Silver Lake and Durwin (Nancy) Jones of Cape Coral, Florida; grandchildren: Jessica (Matt) Kruse, Tyler (Michelle) Jones, Amber (Tyler) Glieden and Zachery Jones, Kyle Jones and Whitney Rueckl; great grandchildren: Bristal and Dolan Jaster, Lucas and Lily Jones and Parker and Aleyna Glieden; other relatives and friends further survive. In addition to her husbands, Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Shirley and Sharon, brothers Wayne, Charles and Eldon “Butch.” A Memorial service for Marilyn Jones-Becker will be held on Sunday, May 3rd at 1:00 P.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. Pastor Jeff Miller will officiate. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday, May 3rd one hour prior to service. A Celebration of life will follow the Memorial service at the Silver Lake American Legion. Inurnment Bohemian National Cemetery at a later date.
