Marlyce Hepner

Marlyce JoAnn (Warnke) Hepner of Hutchinson, MN passed away on may 22, 2014 at her home.

She was the daughter of George and Florence Warnke.  Marlyce was confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake, MN.  She spent her childhood growing up in Silver Lake where she graduated from high school.

She was united in marriage to Arnold Hepner and they resided in Hutchinson for many years.  Their marriage was blessed with four children.  During that time, Marlyce worked for may of the local businesses in Hutchinson such as Hennen's, JC Penney's, Dobratz Furniture Store, 3M and others in secretarial and sales positions.

Marlyce was a longtime member of Vineyard United Methodist Church in Hutchinson.  She enjoyed playing the organ for the church and was involved in various church activities.

She moved to Chaska around 1990 and worked there as a school para, at NordicTrack and for an insurance agency.  Marlyce could be seen driving her trademark T-bird cars around town which she loved very much.

About ten years ago, Marlyce decided to move back to Hutchinson to be near her family.  She cherished each and every addition to her family.  She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her family grew again when she went to work at Carpets Plus/Color Tile where she has worked for the past ten years.  She loved working there and was always happy to come in to cover and loved visiting with Todd, Dale and the girls.

Marlyce also enjoyed traveling to Arizona with Allen and visiting her sister Sheri.  She had been going to Arizona for many years and really loved it there.

Marlyce was known for her "shopping errands" to local stores for something or other, but mostly loved to go looking or visiting with someone she would see around town.

She is survived by her son Randy Hepner of Hutchinson, daughter Joni and her husband Dave Ortloff of Dassel,  grandchildren Tim Heidecker and Jesse Madson of Silver Lake, Terry and Jenny Heidecker of Dassel, Lyndee Heidecker of Minneapolis, Mitchell Ortloff and Amanda Shade of Glencoe, Alisa and Robert Schmidt, Jonathan Larson, Joshua Larson and Joel Larson all of Hutchinson, great-grandchildren Noah Heidecker, Hadley Heidecker, Kendall Heidecker, Mason Ortloff, Cody Schmidt, Mason Schmidt, Jacob Larson, Ben Larson and Cloe Larson, sister Sheri Upton, friend Allen, many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Terry Hepner and daughter LeAnn Larson.

Funeral services for Marlyce Hepner will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Vineyard United Methodist Church in Hutchinson, MN.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 until the time of the service at the church.

Honorary Urn Bearers will be Tim Heidecker, Terry Heidecker, Lyndee Heidecker, Mitchell Ortloff, Alisa Schmidt, Jonathan Larson, Joshua Larson, and Joel Larson.
