Marvin Eugene Vetsch

Marvin Eugene Vetsch, 60, of Silver Lake, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Harmony River in Hutchinson, Minnesota surrounded by family. He was born November 24, 1963 in Princeton, Minnesota, the son of Cletus and Delphine (Kasper) Vetsch. Marvin Vetsch and Brenda Quast were joined in holy marriage October 23, 1999 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Minnesota. Marvin and former spouse, Renee (Smith) Miller, had three children together. Marvin and his wife, Brenda (Quast), also had three children, for a total of six children. Marvin previously owned Albertville Bar in Albertville, Minnesota and Kegs Bar in Winsted, Minnesota. He was the manager of the Municipal Liquor Store in Dassel, Minnesota for the last 20 years. He and his wife Brenda currently own two family restaurants: V’s Grill in Winsted and Darwin, Minnesota. Marvin was a loving friend, brother, father, grandpa, and husband. He prioritized spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially on his land in Tenstrike, Minnesota. He loved to spend time outside doing many things, including farming, hunting, and fishing. He was always willing to fix any problem that came up. He enjoyed talking with anyone he met, giving advice, reminiscing, or simply catching up. His selflessness knew no bounds and his care for those around him was continually evident. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (Quast) Vetsch; children, Angela Vetsch (Steven Collazos) of Barrett, Minnesota, Gina (Jon) Robles of Hutchinson, Minnesota, Weston Vetsch of Paynesville, Minnesota, and Aleah, Kyle, and Jolie Vetsch of Silver Lake, Minnesota; grandchildren, Paul, Lily, and Jude Robles; mother-in-law, father-in-law, aunt, sisters, brother, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Cletus and Delphine (Kasper) Vetsch; twin brother Mark Vetsch; brothers Allen Vetsch, Loren Vetsch, and Ronald Vetsch; sisters Annette Vetsch and Dorothy Brabec; brother-in-law Edward Brabec. A visitation will take place Tuesday, May 7, from 4 to 8 pm at Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A prayer service and rosary will take place at 7pm. Further visitation will take place Wednesday morning at the Maresh Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial for Marvin Vetsch will take place Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Matthew Wiering will be the celebrant. Internment will take place at Holy Family Cemetery in Silver Lake. Urn bearers will be Angela Vetsch, Gina Robles, Weston Vetsch, Aleah Vetsch, Kyle Vetsch, and Jolie Vetsch. Honorary urn bearers are Paul, Lily, and Jude Robles.
