Mathilda "Tilly" Olga Rannow

Mathilda “Tilly” Rannow, age 96, formerly of Biscay  passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at GlenFields of Glencoe.

She was born on December 18, 1922 in Rich Valley Township, McLeod County the daughter of Henry O & Ida A. (Borchardt) Rannow.

Through the years Tilly worked very hard on the farm near Biscay.  She loved her grandchildren!

Tilly also was fond of embroidering, gardening, canning, playing cards and bingo.

Survived by a son: Wally (Sue) Rannow of Glencoe; grandchildren: Teresa Rannow and fiancé Trinity, Cory Rannow and fiancé Hidy; step grandchildren: Savayah & Leo; great grandchildren: Alexander and Liberty; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Alfred, Robert, Herman, Charles, Albert, Hillard, Bill and Harold; sisters: Emmeline, Florence, Adeline and Mary.

A time of gathering will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 10 A.M. until time of services at the church.

A Memorial service for Mathilda “Tilly’ Rannow will be held on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe.   Pastor Katherine Rood will officiate.   Inurnment will follow the luncheon at St. John’s Cemetery in Biscay. Twyla Kirkeby will be the organist and Dennis & Chris Davis will be the vocalists for the service and will sing “Amazing Grace”.     Congregational hymn will be “On Eagle’s Wings” , “In the Garden” and  “ What a friend we have in Jesus”

Urn bearers will be grandchildren Teresa and Cory.
