Nina Garbers Obituary

Nina Garbers went to be with Her Savior Jesus Christ on November 8, 2023.  She was born on July 3, 1938 in La Crosse Wisconsin to the late Ralph and Gertrude Young.  She was baptized at the Rockland Methodist Church on September 4 1938 and confirmed in her faith at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in La Crosse Wisconsin.  Nina was married to Ronald Garbers on January 17, 1958 and was happily married for 62 years. 

Nina is survived by 3 children: Debra (James) Funk; Mark (Lynne) Garbers; Sandra (Jeff) Olson, 7 Grandchildren: Jason (Joslin) Thiemann; Nicole (Eric) Schoenrock, Kristine (Matt) Tartaglio, Shawn (Jessie) Sullivan, Kendra (Rob) Anderegg, Kelli (Aaron) Lueders, and Kristin (Ryan) Alsleben; 18 Great Grandchildren; Conner, Adam, Joseph, Riely, Bradley Sullivan, Brooke, Cora, Pierce Thiemann, Kryssa Schmidt, Kylie Johnson, Owen and Elli Schoenrock, Rogan and Hudson Anderegg, Eddison and Emma Alsleben, Max and Kenady Lueders;   Sisters Linda (Gerald) LeJeune, Mary Cassel, Brothers Harland Young, Richard Young.  Sister in Laws Phyllis Young, Vi Garbers  and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ron Garbers, parents, Brother Roland Young and Sister-in-laws Shirley Young and Betsy Young.  Brother in law Herbert Garbers and four sister in laws, Arlene (Walter) Hemker, Ardell (Joe) Beall, Louise (Elmer) Blashaski, Marjorie (Curtis) Jenkins.
