Paul Joseph Anderle, age 91 passed away on November 16, 2014 at his home in Rich Valley Township.
He was born April 28, 1923, the son of Joseph and Anna (Cacka) Anderle. He grew up in Rich Valley Township attending school in Silver Lake, MN. On June 25, 1945 Paul married Edna Ellis at St. George Catholic Church in Glencoe, MN. They were able to share in sixty-seven years of marriage before Edna's death in January 2013.
Paul was a lifelong dairy and crop farmer on the Anderle farmstead in Rich Valley Township into his 80's.
He will be remembered as a man with a big heart, strong Catholic faith, perseverance for hard work and dedication to his family. He enjoyed listening and dancing to old-time polkas and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan (he never missed watching a game on TV). He liked to recall past stories about his childhood or farming, which his family was eager to hear.
He is survived by his children: Marlene (Don) Havelka of Glencoe , Paul Anderle Jr. of Silver Lake, Betty (Roger) Steele of Spicer, Judy (Ralph) Anderson of Willmar, Mary (Randy) Nass of Dassel, and Nancy (Tony) Humlicek of Silver Lake, grandchildren Julie, Mike, Lisa, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Megan, Kirsten, Isaac and Paul; step-grandchildren Nancy and Jason; great-grandchildren Brittany, Chelsea, Ashley, Trevor, and Braden; step great-grandchildren McKenzie and Blaine, brother-in-law Edwin Ellis, sister-in-law Bernice Ellis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Edna (Jan 24, 2013), sisters Eleanor Maresh, Agnes Dvorak, and Mabel Koktan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19th from 5-8 PM at the Maresh Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM. Further visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Megan Anderson, Isaac Nass, Kirsten Anderson, and Paul Nass.
Casket Bearers will be Julie Havelka, Mike Havelka, Lisa Riebe, Jennifer Forcier, Jeffrey Havelka, Ron Maresh, Myron Dvorak, and Harvey Dvorak.
Private interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Maresh Funeral Home, Silver Lake, MN assisted the family with arrangements.
