Thomas Michael Stresnak

Thomas Michael Stresnak, age 85 of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away December 20, 2019 at Methodist Hospital.

He was born on November 8, 1934 in Minneapolis to Clarence and Elizabeth (Olsen) Stresnak. Tom grew up in Minneapolis and graduated with the class of 1953 from the St. Thomas Military Academy.

After high school, we went straight into the workforce in sales. He briefly enlisted in the Army Reserves as well during this time.

Tom met his future wife, Mary Pessek, while he was working in sales. They worked across the street from each other, and the two were introduced to each other by Tom’s father. On October 14, 1961, they were united in marriage at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Minnetonka. They were blessed with four children.

Besides his family and faith, Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting,  fishing, and Laurel and Hardy movies. After his retirement from Letts Company, he was able to spend more time up north at the family cabin in Longville.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Jerry, Paul (Denise), and Robert Stresnak; daughter, Ann (Mark) Mirsch; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ben, and Margaret Johnson, Walter Mirsch, and Tyler (Gloria) Stresnak; great-grandchild, Mya Johnson; brother, Richard (Jane); and many other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at Bunny/Sherms in St Louis Park MN on 2/12/20 from 2PM-6PM. Private interment will be held at a later date at Bohemian National Cemetery in Silver Lake, MN.

A special thanks goes out to all the wonderful staff at Methodist Hospice and ICU that took such great care of Tom.
